The Youth and Film Festival is the oldest festival in Poland to feature only debuts. Among those making their debut in Koszalin were Krzysztof Zanussi, Agnieszka Holland, Xawery Żuławski, Tomasz Wasilewski, Łukasz Palkowski, Sławomir Fabicki, Katarzyna Rosłaniec, Maria Sadowska, Kuba Czekaj, Jan P. Matuszyński, Marcin Wrona and Dariusz Gajewski.

 

We have always liked MiF, (Youth and Film) and enjoyed both the workshops and the evening concerts or lectures. But the millennial, fortieth edition of the festival is special for us. It is our debut on the cinema screen. Although in the non-competitive section, but still 🙂 We make no secret that we are looking forward to seeing the result of our work heard in the Kryterium cinema hall. We invite you to the premiere! The film “7.62mm” (formerly “I Forgive”) is set in 1946. The picture shows the experiences of former Home Army soldiers whose fate, often in a bloody way, clashes with the totalitarian system of Poland at the time. Their hopeless battle for a Soviet-independent homeland. The action of the film unfolds in two threads. It surprises the viewer with transitions and places many question marks. It touches on difficult moral aspects and allows a glimpse into the darkest corners of the human soul. Dariusz Lomako and Marcin Borchardt are responsible for the script and direction of „Forgive Me”, the film crew is Patryk Brzeskot, Maciej Mostowski and Mirosław Filiczkowski, the editing was handled by Krzysztof Meyer, and the whole was produced by Piotr Nowak and HP Media Sp. z o.o.
