What is the film „7.62 mm” about?
The film deals with difficult events anchored in post-war history of Poland. Its action takes place at the end of the 1940s. Although set in historical realities, it does not tell about dates and events. The focus is on the person – their dilemmas and inner turmoil. We will tell the audience about friendship and difficult choices that will face our characters. We will show complicated human relationships. Friendship, betrayal, forgiveness, humanity. Values that are lasting and timeless. We also want to invite for discussion and to leave something behind. To cause reflection – reveals Dariusz Łomako, the director of the project. The film was also participated by Marcin Borchardt (second director), the camera crew was Patryk Brzeskot, Maciej Mostowski and Mirosław Filiczkowski, the editing was handled by Krzysztof Meyer, and the whole was produced by Piotr Nowak and HP Media Sp. z o.o. We thank the actors for their cooperation and patience: Piotr Srebrowski, Wojciech Kowalski, Adrianna Jendroszek,Wojciech Rogowski, Marcin Borchardt, Mikołaj Mongiało.
Sound on a film set and post-production in the studio.
Why did we agree to go out into the field this time? The group that is working on this project is strongly connected to the region. The directors, actors, technical staff, are largely people we know or have had the opportunity to work with. We knew that the atmosphere would be great and we would learn the art of film-making together. But most importantly, we were given a „free hand” in both the implementation on the set and post-production. Until now, we have been improving sound after someone else, and now we will be polishing our own tracks. We set ourselves the goal of combining the studio techniques we know with the experience of colleagues who work on the set every day.
The effect?
The final soundtrack cost us many hours of work, we learned a lot about how a film should sound, but we also hope that we did not lose our own path. In our team were Tomek Bartos, Hanna Bartos and Maciej Trembowiecki. Responsible for all studio work were Tomasz Bartos and Maciej Trembowiecki, who is also the author of the music for this film. And in our opinion, it’s a really unique soundtrack. We are pleased with the final result, which also gained recognition from the team and the client. Work on the set is hard and exhausting, post-production is tedious and tiring. But the final result brings a great satisfaction.
